Emma started the interiors side of the business over 15 years ago. A passion for houses inherited from her property developing mother, Emma’s earliest memories were of accompanying her to fabric houses and reclamation yards. "I loved watching the transformation of a run down house into a warm, light-filled home. I found it magical. The excitement of that process and the desire to bring out the best of a house remains at the heart of everything we do at Emma Kirby Design."

Michael has over 25 years experience directing the design and development of projects in the residential and commercial sector; from extensions and renovations, traditional and contemporary new homes and barn conversions, to hotels and private members clubs. Michael's expertise is in assembling and managing the right team to suit the scale, scope and ambition of the project, maximising planning gain and optimising cost efficiency and build quality.

Sophie joined Emma Kirby Design as Studio Manager in September 2019 and works across all parts of the business. Before joining EKD Sophie was Conference Manager at Oxford Analytica, a political analysis company, managing their flagship annual conference, all company events and working extensively with clients, suppliers, stakeholders and sponsors. Prior to Oxford Analytica, Sophie was a Senior Project Manager at an organisation in West London delivering training and event strategies for Blue Chip companies primarily in the Automotive sector. Sophie graduated from Leeds University in 2009 with a BA in Political Studies (European) during which she also spent a year studying at KU Leuven and working at the European Parliament in Brussels.
